Swimming pool - fiberglass repair
We have a 20x40 inground pool with a plaster bottom and
fiberglass walls in eight foot panels. While cleaning the walls, I noticed a lot of hairline vertical cracks in the fiberglass just above the water level on all sides. They are also stained with iron because we fill the pool with well water. It is only something one notices on close inspection. I'm not ready to redo the walls! Any seasoned pool owners know what to do about this, if anything? Is there something that I can spackle in? Also - what about painting the sides (next year)? The baby blue is fading. Is there a paint one can use on the walls? Which would you suggest, and why? Also - touch up caulk - is there a caulk that can be applied in water? Also any recommendations for patio caulk would be appreciated. Kali |
