Certified Copy of Deed ?
 

I got a scam mail the other day offering to give me a Certified Copy of my
Deed for $60. I have the regular copy of my Deed...but not sure if its
"Certified". how to tell ?

I hear we can go to the local county courthouse and get the same certified
copy for $5.

Go to the county courthouse and ask them if the one you have is
certified.

Why do you need or even want a certified copy of your deed? The deed that is
filed at the courthouse is the only one that matters. Any copy of the filed
deed is just a piece of paper.

What people say you need a certified deed? What purpose does a certified
deed serve?

If anyone wants to see a certified copy of my deed they better go to the
county courthouse and look at it there.
