Tiling new home floors

I have a brother who has been tiling his (floor) new house for about 8
weekends now. It seems he is taking way too long to do the tiling. I
believe him and another brother have been spending 2 days a weak 8 hrs a day
to do probably what totals 2,400 sq ft. I wonder if there is a good website
that goes into good detail on how to do tile in different patterns. I'm
looking for something that would teach tricks of the trade and things you'd
never think of as a new tile setter. I figured probably 800-1,000 sq. ft
per 8hrs for a beginner just setting. I realize Home depot has their
classes but I prefer the internet in my family room.

variables such as how many cuts there are and the size of the tile will have
a large impact on how long it takes.

I think 1000 sq ft in a single day may be more than even a prefessional can
achieve.

Setting, the "field" tile can go quickly, but doing all the cutting
around the edges takes time, even with a good wet saw. It also takes
time to mix up mortar, and the size of the tile will dictate the speed
at which you can lay tile.

32 man-days does sound like a long time, but maybe the time to "bone-
up" was 4-6 weekends ago. They must be close to completion by now,
no?
