Default furnace filter

I am trying to locate my furnace filter (gas) which is in my attic and
have no luck finding it. Where might it be and how would i get to it.
The manufacture name is no where on the equipment.
I can email a picture

thanks

Filters are not always located inside the furnace. They can also be located
behind the cold air return grate...

I have also seen them in the return air duct within a few feet of the
furnace. Most older peices of equipment do not have a filter rack built
into the furnace. try looking in the side of the duct or like the other
poster said in the R/A grill. Steve
