Default Front Glass Sealent for Direct Vent Gas Fireplace

Since the orange rubber type gasket on my Model6000GDV GTI direct vent
air-tight natural gas fireplace dried up and fell to peaces, I was
wondering if I have any options other than spending over $100 to
replace the entire glass assembly. Can anyone recommend a high temp
sealant that might work to create an airtight seal between the glass
and metal firebox front frame? Assuming there might be a sealant that
would work for this application, will the glass be permanently glued to
the metal firebox? IE.. I would not be able to remove the glass,
without breaking it, to clean the firebox side of the glass. Since I
have not cleaned the inner glass in years, maybe it is not a big issue.

Thanks Very Much In Advance for Any Help
Regards
Ron
