Safest Bathroom heater for elderly

This frail 97-year old lady is no longer able to safely turn on and
light her small bathroom heater (natural gas). Ease of turning on and
safety are of paramount important. Any specific models? Natural gas
or electric/catalytic?

Thanks.

I don't think there could be anything easier than an electric for a
person such as this. The cost per BTU is higher than gas, but that
makes little difference in a bathroom and the short duration it is
used. And you know there will be no chance of any fumes with electric.
Older folks can be affected by tiny amounts of unburned fuel that
younger people would not notice.

It's a good application for a built-in electric unit. The new ones are safe
and the heat is clean (no fumes or flames).

I like the wall units as they can be installed out-of-the-way of exposure to
water and they can't be tipped over.

My 99 year old mother, who is blind, has used one for several years safely.

Electric ceiling units are O.K. too.
