RCA Rear Projection Screen TV
FUBARD Buy a new set, 12 year old probably will cost more to repair than what it's worth.
"Gabby D" wrote in message ... Quarter and half-dollar size splotches of blue and red have appeared on my screen following a sudden cable disruption. The splotches seem to be sandwiched between three layers in the screen, with the reds behind the blues. I have no idea what, if anything, can be done about these distracting color blots, and I don't even know what to properly call them. My set is approximately 12 years old (out of warranty) and has performed flawlessly since day one. Can anyone help me get started on searching for a cause of this problem or a fix? I live on an island where the local TV technician has no idea what the problem might be. Moving the large 'home theatre' to the mainland without knowing the problem or potential cost is a tad out of the question. Thank-you for your time.
