American/Canadian power connectors

Hi,

I've moved to N America from Europe and I'm changing some power connector.
My Question now is, when I look from the front on the connector, Ground on
the bottom, is the phase on the left or on the right? I unfortunately don't
have a phase tester handy.

Thanks,
Ron

Next time you have a question, Google it.

I unfortunately don't have a phase tester handy.

This can be determined with any voltmeter--or even a light bulb.
On 117VAC, if you have more than a fraction of a volt
between Neutral and Ground, you have a problem.
