PR7820 laserdisc player alignment help needed.
 

I have an old MCA Discovision PR7820 laser disc player and I'm
wondering if anybody knows the correct procedure for aligning the
optical path of the laser after it is instaled. The service manual does
not cover this procedure.
I can get the beam path aligned but adjusting the photo diode and
diverging lens are very tricky. Anybody have any Idea of how to do
this? The PR7820 laser disc player is 26 years old.
Any help is appreciated.

try alt.video.laserdisc.... there is a gentleman usually in there that does
work on most pioneers ( I know not the same but...) tuning them up to get
maximum performance out of them. He may be able to help... I think his name
