Dead TV?? Please Help

I have an old Panasonic CTP 3184SF
1992 very high end tv with some issues.
a) Sometimes when you turn off the power the picture will stay on
for hours although it is very dim and no sound.
b) When I turned it on last night sound, no picture just a thin
horizontal line.
Tried lots of things and then took it to the workbench, I turned several
knobs now not even a line.
What can be done?
Thanks
Gil

13 years is good service and I'd replace it.

The horizontal line means that vertical deflection has been lost. The other
things suggest a power supply problem.

Depends on where you live. Some cities have recycling centers for TVs.
