Sony cpd- E220 problem!
 
hello

i got a sony e220 monitor,the monitor does'nt power on.when i press on button the green led light glows for a 2sec and the monitor shuts down automatically ,normally the orange led binks before the display comes,i hear the sound of monitor going to off status(click,click).after this i toggled the power button nothing happens even the green led doesn't glow,it looks like the monitor shutsdown automatically for some reason!,any idea whah could be the problem?

It sounds like the switching power supply is going into protection
mode because of an over-current or over-voltage situation. The unit
detects this condition, shuts down, then tries to restart, and the
cycle repeats. If you are proficient in electronics and have the
proper test equipment, you might try to locate the short or over-
voltage cause.
