CRT Problem
I have a Compaq MV900 monitor that has ceased to work. Earlier today, it
worked flawlessly, but this evening i hit the power button and NOTHING came on the screen. You can hear the monitor come on from teh crackly sound it makes, and the light on teh front comes on, but the screen remains blank. Anyone have any ideas what it might be and how much is a fair price for repair? I would replace it, but i just can't afford a new monitor that size. Thank you. |

If there is high voltage, the biases to the CRT are correct, and there is
proper drive to the CRT, I would think that the CRT is defective. You should take it to a service centre to have this verified, unless you are equipped and experienced at servicing monitors. Take consideration that these monitors are not well supported for after warranty service. In many cases there are no parts or service manuals available. -- Jerry G. ===== "Jason" wrote in message ... Start by making sure the VGA cable is still plugged in. ;-) - ----------------------------------------------- Jim Adney Madison, WI 53711 USA ----------------------------------------------- |
