Hello all,
my problem with this sony receiver is that i get Protector display message.i
made this problem myself. while checking voltages on the STK 3102III my probe
slipped and shorted something out.after i did this slip i got the protector
display. the left side speaker output had no output thats way i was checking
the stk 3102. all 6 trans. on the heatsink checked out ok before and after i
slipped with the probe. i installed a new stk 3102 III but no help. i have 59
dc volts on the 2 large caps. does anybody have any ideas what i can check or
replace to get this receiver up and making audio again??

Thanks ,Garry

If You change some components in the output stage,You will for sure
need to adjust both bias and Idle current.
Protect circuit is detecting on both(Not always).

Measure for a DC offset at the emitters of each transistor pair with respect
to ground.
