Mitsubishi immediately shuts off
A 13 inch Mitsubishi TV shuts itself off just after being turned on. If the
high voltage unit for the kiny is heated first, then the set works fine. Alternatively, if half line voltage is applied via a Variac (just enough to get the electronic control to work and turn the set on) until the board warms up, then the set will operate at full voltage and continue working properly. There is no moisture present and the high voltage system works fine once it is warm. Anyone have a guess as to what is happening? -- Jerry Herzog |
It is very common that some of the caps in the powersupply, and the scan
circuits go high in ESR in these sets. Get an ESR meter and test all the caps in the set. I am sure that you will find many of them need replacing when doing such a test. -- Jerry G. ====== "Gerald Herzog" wrote in message ink.net...
