I had the same problem with a 36" Sony Wega, can't remember model number
KVsomething. I was a broken power supply board. Soldered a couple jumpers over broken traces and it works like a charm. "Cindy Murphy" wrote in message news:7zKBd.29518$vF5.22152@trndny07... how do i test that ? & what would i do to fix it just jump some small wire
over it ? this tv was in a huge power surge in texas it was so bad it cooked the fuse we got it fixed that is when it was new but here in this house we kept losing power so it would just shup it self off with out being turned off right so that would @#$# up the power suply do you think i shood call sony aobut a new power suply or try to fix this one 1st ? |
In my case, I suspected a broken board because of a break in the case under
the board. I used a magnifying glass and looked for cracks across the traces. I then soldered a piece of wire across each one of the breaks.
