Philips 28PW6008C Purity issues
Hiya
Is there a way to get into an engineer mode on the Philips 28PW6008C, I need to degauss the CRT. Anyone know if there are any issues with the above model ie purity problems ? All potential external issues ie speakers have been eliminated . Best wishes Cub |
Is the degaussingcircuit being checked? there is no software involved with
that. Has the tele not been falling, so the shadowmask is not good animore, if the purity comes after a minute of 10 than lower the contrast and check than later. thanks for that, the telivision is new, the purity problem is as if the tv
has been exposed to a strong magnetic field and the degaussing is not clearing it. the problem is it is visible on power up and may clear after use. I thought some tv's had a service menu that you could select may be a manual degauss Regards Trev "eddumweer" wrote in message ... Some people say that a soldering iron's (not pencil's) magnetic field will do a degauss, but I have never tried it. Tom Regards Trev "eddumweer" wrote in message ...
