Help need to reset Cordless Phone Out of Range

I have Panasonic KX-TC1175BXB cordless unit. The portable unit shows out-of-range.
How can I repaire this.

I would remove the battery for about an hour and then re-install it.
Place the handheld on the cradle for a minute then check it.
