Schematics/manual for Heathkit SG-1271 Function Generator
Does anyone have one of these available. I'll pay photocopy/postage.
Something smoked in mine. I don't have that one but Heatkit users might like to know that some other
circuits were on www.circuitarchive.co.uk/heath.htm . They have now been removed but fortunately were archived at http://web.archive.org/ . Go to http://web.archive.org/web/200008170...o.uk/heath.htm The www.heathkit.virtual.museum/ has also been archived. See http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://...irtual.museum/ Sad to realize how much info has been lost but worth giving http://web.archive.org/ a try. Rus "Sam Goldwasser" wrote in message ... As recently as a few years ago, they still offered photocopies of manuals for every kit they ever sold, even after they left the kit business. |

I only spent $2 for it about 10 years ago and I have several Wavetek function generators anyhow. No, just put it in the "to do" pile and hope that someday someone will notice my request here and be a good guy. Or, just dig into it without a schematic. It's probably a power supply problem of some kind which should be possible to track down with a multimeter. A schematic would just make it easier. I know there's a tantalum cap that blew up and there's something funny about that area of the circuit because it only measures ~1 V now without the cap. It's just a pain to get to the bottom of the PCB, requiring removing the knobs and front panel so was hoping to avoid it. Oh well..... --- sam | Sci.Electronics.Repair FAQ Mirror: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/ Repair | Main Table of Contents: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/REPAIR/ +Lasers | Sam's Laser FAQ: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/sam/lasersam.htm | Mirror Sites: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/REPAIR/F_mirror.html Note: These links are hopefully temporary until we can sort out the excessive traffic on Repairfaq.org. Oh well..... I've fixed so many things without a schematic that I get annoyed when I can't do this (more and more these days with custom ICs). I've even gotten things to work at times by sheer dumb luck! N |

I did build the cable with it. Haven't gotten to actually put the rest of it together though. It was for a high vacuum ionization gauge and the vacuum part of it isn't all there.
