model 3003 PAL i get a picture. its almost like its a 256 colours not 16bit. but more
importantly its like the gamma is turned down. for example the playstation 2 that fires up
on a game booting up, is supposed to be bright and white mines more dull, turnign the bightness up on tv
of course makes the black grey on that screen for example.

Are you trying a new game to test your vidoe output?
Did you try a differant game?
I seem to remember that Enter The Matrix had a disgustingly dark
output the was near unplayable at its default settings.
I just thought it would be funny if somebody put that game in and then
thought that their PS2 was screwed up. lol

all the rgames are darker and you can see the gradients in teh backgrounds for example
hence my 256 colour comment.

driv3r and burnout3 any game and its dark before you get to a game, straight from the ps2 boot up screen

somethign has blown inside, i just want to know what as i have bits from antoehr ps2 i can swap :)

if i max up the tv contrast and really lift the tv brightness then it isnt too bad

i'm guessing it has to be somethign on the vga side of the ps2
