Default Stuck CD

I have a 2000 Jimmy with the 6cd player in the console. Out of sight,
out of mind, I guess, because we never tried it untill Christmas. It
would recognise there was a cd in the system, but would not play. Now
the cartridge won't eject, and I can't figure how to get the unit out
without tearing the entire console apart.
Any suggestions? I'm 2 years out of work, and don't have money to ay
labor to have this done.

My advice may be worth what you paid for it.
