Without the detailed information such as voltages to the various stages,
power supply outputs, and signal levels along the signal path from the front end of the receiver section through to the detector output to the mode switch circuits, there is not much someone can suggest. These receivers are fairly complex to service, and require the proper training, instrumentation, and service manuals to work on. The only thing an end user with some basic knowledge can do, is to check for any loose connections on the circuit board. If you have any basic service experience, you can look for any possible cold solder connections, and touch them up. If resoldering on the board and you make a bridge connection or short something, you may cause more damage, thus increase the cost of servicing. I would suggest you give the set to the authorized manufacture service rep, and have an estimate done, to take an intelligent decision about servicing the set. Your set is not a low end unit, therefore, it should be properly serviced to maintain it. -- Greetings, Jerry Greenberg GLG Technologies GLG ========================================= WebPage http://www.zoom-one.com Electronics http://www.zoom-one.com/electron.htm ========================================= "Thias Russell" wrote in message ...
