Philips TV shutting down in AV mode.

I need help ........

Make: Philips TV
Model: 29PT6361/79B (manual also mentions 29PT6021/5)
Chassis: A10A/AA
Problem: Set works fine off air but when any of the AV inputs are
selected, the set shuts down. The expected picture looks fine for the
few seconds before shut down.

According to the manual & flashing front indicator the problem is
missing + or - 13v to vertical stage .... this is not the case.
When looking at the error log, its is either the missing vertical
supply or I2C problems (various random error codes).

About 6 months ago we called to set up a DVD on this set & only one AV
input worked then (the customer was happy to leave it that way).
We have also been told that over the last month the kids have been
retrying selecting AV a number of times & eventually it would work.

Any clues would be appreciated.

Well, nodoby's got you yet so here goes;

Typically you set the Hfreq to 50Hz higher then the expected signal. This is
because of the range of input to the APC.

It is late, repost ande I'll give you a better answer, but NAP told me 50Hz
high, no higher. It shouldn't be different even on a diffrent TV system.
