I started noticing that my panasonic Gaoo TV won't start on power on.
On the occasions that this would happen, I unplugged the TV and after
a while the TV would come back on after powering it up.

However this "solution" no longer works. Does anyone have any
suggestions?

Try change the cap in the power supply those who are used as switching clock
for the main power switch transistor.
It may be that or not.
