I am looking for a replacement remote for an RCA F25281. I know I have the
option of a universal, but I rather have the remote that was originally
included with this model TV.

Does anyone know what the part no. is for the remote or, better yet, does
anyone have a spare remote for such a TV for sale? - Reinhart

Aw, Reinhart, ..decent univserals will do perfectly for this low end
rca TV CTC185.

All in one, RCA universal remotes, Philips universal as well as
several others will work.

I know because I do have them and have ctc185 tv (19") at home. Menu
does work. Press menu then a number to select a item in displayed
menu or use the pad.

I've must have bunch of various brands of universals because many
owners didn't give their originals or lost them to us to assist while
working on sets.

Actually, Philips universal remotes are best overall especially it has
CC button, better support of menu, and several codes that isn't
present in other competitors' universals like Scott brand so on. The
shop begged me to sell mine!

Oh, I'm glad those decent universal remotes are inexpensive.

The part number is : 240959 and is twenty bucks list.

I would pick up any RCA or GE universal remote, as they are nearly identical to
the original in all functions and don't need to be programmed. Just load the
AAAs and go.
