Do a google search for Q601, Q602, 2SC4834, etc and you will find the issue
has been discussed many times in great detail. There are many differing
views so read a lot.

The bottom line is that you need to understand the power supply, deflection,
and flyback circuits, how they work and how they fail, need to obtain the
training info from Sony, need to be very thorough in troubleshooting,
testing, and repairing these circuits, and need to use good quality parts.

After you do some homework and more checking, post more information and
there are several guys here who have lots of experience with these and can
give you more specific help.

This is very complex to discuss over a simple email. These Sony sets are a
challenge to even the experienced Sony techs. Usually when there are
failures in the horiz output, there are also failures in the power supply.
Sometimes there area also failures in the protection circuits itself. If
one or the other is not properly serviced, the total failure will occur
again, on an instant. For many of the parts in the Sony sets, very high
quality and properly rated parts are required. It is strongly recommended
to use only Sony original parts in your set.
