Except when it comes back to us as counterfeit parts.

There is that, but also much of the pollution winds up in and over the Pacific Ocean coming back to the US on the Japan Current and as air pollution.

That it is poisoning China as well bodes ill for the world in general, as when China, the last, only, and true 900 pound gorilla in world politics) comes to the inevitable conclusion that it can no longer support its population to those minimums necessary to prevent protest, revolution and potentially worse (for those in power), they _WILL_ look to the outside for the necessary resources. And, not necessarily with cash. They have, essentially, infinite cannon fodder, and excepting the United States, there is not another force on the planet that could even slow them down. Europe is essentially fat, stupid, and paralyzed politically with its collective and several heads so far up its collective and several fundaments that it is viewing the world from between its collective and several teeth, and the US is tired of constant wars of attrition - and certainly does not want to risk a nuclear confrontation by a country that has far less at risk given its size. As long as the US gets its necessary oil, toys and rare earths, it will most likely stand by and watch. China will see to that.

Those of you anywhere on the western Pacific Rim don't stand a chance under this scenario.

At this point, China needs peace more than war. That 'point' is shifting. How far and how quickly remains to be seen.
