Toshiba TV Convergence Grid Pattern Not Showing.

Toshiba RPTV Model # TP55F80. When calling up the convergence pattern in
service mode, the convergence grid pattern will not show. When I exit
convergence mode, by pressing # 7 button again, the sides of picture do pull in
momentarily as they should. Does anyone have a thought as to what may be
causing this problem? I supect it may be related to the no tuner operation of
this TV. Video inputs are used and work. All input connections are disconnected
when calling up the convergence pattern.
Thanks.
Bob

Pattern is generated within the set, tuner will have no effect on it's
generation and display. does the channel and menu displays function
correctly? If so then I'd suspect maybe the digital convergence assembly.
Also try inputting a video signal via one of the AVIO inputs and try
entering the convergence setup via the service menu again. It is possible
that the set requires a stable video sync signal to be able to generate the
on screen grid.
