Taco Bender arrested for diddling 3 year old girl
 

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Winter Haven police say a man is under arrest after
neighbors, and then officers, caught him in the act of performing lewd
and lascivious acts on a three-year-old girl.

Police were called to a home in the southwest section of the city late
Friday night where neighbors said they saw Silvino Rebollar-Vera, 44,
molesting a small child.

There are no street lights in the area and Rebollar-Vera was in plain
view with the lights on inside the home.

Two witnesses, according to a police statement, observed Rebollar-Vera
kissing the child mouth-to-mouth, "like a man and woman" while sitting
on his lap. At one point, the child's mother walked into the room, saw
what was happening and said "ya'll stop that" and left without doing
anything, according to the statement.

Officers had been called to scene by the first witness. When they
arrived, other people who had seen the behavior were standing outside
the home.

By that time, according to the statement, Rebollar-Vera and the girl
were in a bedroom on a bed, again, in plain view of the outside world.

"There was also another child sitting in the corner of the room
observing what was taking place. Rebollar-Vega was lying down on his
back and the small child was sitting on her own ankles on the bed while
Rebollar-Vega was performing lewd acts," according to police.

Fearing for the child's safety, officers tried to go inside, but the
door was locked. They beat on a window and got the mother's attention.
They demanded that she open the door.

Once inside, Rebollar-Vera jumped from the bed and tried to zip his
pants, police said.

He was arrested and charged with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation and two
counts of Lewd Exhibition.

The children, ages three and six, were taken into protective custody by
the Department of Children and Families.

The case remains under investigation.
