What sort of places sell enclosure screws, approx 2.5mm diameter, 20mm long?
Lazy thread for plastic. RS in the UK does not seem to supply anything like
them. I'm running out of salvaged ones from scrapped kit. Two items in this week for repair, where someone has been before and managed to lose or failed to replace some. |

Two items in this week for repair, where someone has been before and managed to lose or failed to replace some. Got by by using some long 4UNF ? machine screws with countersunk heads. Picked up at a carboot sale, as in the UK I'm always short of UNF/UNC screws for repairing USA kit. Anyway about 2.7mm diameter, ie between the regular (for UK) 2.5mm and 3mm machine screw sizes, and cut to the required length, seems to bind into the plastic well enough . But would still like to know of a UK supplier, as proper ones would have a point or at least tapered tip, gauge 4 ? by UK tapered thread sizing. |
