Insignia TV model IS-TV040925 Question about HOT
This set has a Toshiba 2SD 2638 as a Horizontal output. My distributor
has Philips 2SD 2638's in stock at 3.95. I have not been able to find the Toshibas's elsewhere. Does anyone know if its OK to sub the original Toshiba part with a Philips? This is a 1700V transistor so I don't want to assume anything. Thanks, Lenny. |

Insignia TV model IS-TV040925 Question about HOT

" put finger to keyboard and composed: This set has a Toshiba 2SD 2638 as a Horizontal output. My distributor has Philips 2SD 2638's in stock at 3.95. Thanks, Lenny. "2SD" is a Japanese prefix. I wasn't aware that Philips used anything other than European prefixes. I suspect that the stock listing is either an error, or the part is a fake. Or perhaps Philips is now second sourcing Japanese parts ??? - Franc Zabkar -- Please remove one 'i' from my address when replying by email. |
