Oil for plastic laptop hinges
 
WD-40 will not hurt a laptop hinge . Try a couple drops of sewing
machine or 3-in-0ne oil . Just dont use so much where it will run all
over . These oils will not hurt plastics .
Your hinges are most likely metal undr the plastic .
