Best Buy and Radio Shack also claim to have them in some stores, but none in my area. You can search up to 50 miles from your zip code or city. The fact that a retailer has them in the first couple stores doesn't mean anything, if they aren't at your local store. -- Service to my country? I saw them 3 days ago. Mike |

I've checked online, and with local stores and found nothing. There is just a trickle so far and not all stores get them, or have them long enough to find them so far. A lot of people are complaining, because they were supposed to be readily available by now. -- Service to my country? Been there, Done that, and I've got my DD214 to prove it. Member of DAV #85. Off topic, but I was in Walmart one day, and I usually try to avoid the place. As I was walking in I noticed how many TV cameras they had on the top of the building. Probably at least 20. I also noticed all the cameras inside. Probably add another 100. I think Wal-Mart has more cameras than Vegas casinos! I doubt that. I knew an EE who designed the first TV surveillance system for a Vegas casino. They spent almost a year installing that system. He died a few years ago, so i can't get an exact number, but there was a decent sized room full of racks of monitors, and people to watch them all. Do you think every one of those cameras at that Wal-Mart are real? The ones in casinos are. Not only do they track their customers, but their employees. There isn't one spot inside a casino where they can't see what you are doing. -- Service to my country? Been there, Done that, and I've got my DD214 to prove it. Member of DAV #85. Michael A. As far as I know they have the right to put a camera there. |

How do you know that there are no cameras in the restrooms? There are pinhole cameras that can peek between a pipe and the trim ring. If anyone is gambling away from their profit areas they will put a stop to it. Only takes one person who discovers those cameras to file a lawsuit and stir up some major problems for any casino who tried it. The loss of business would far outweigh anything they could gain by it. Still I've always wondered how anyone can stand to be in a casino in the first place, I hate the feeling of eyes on my every move, guilty until proven innocent. There's a lot of more fun ways to throw away money. |

One idiot I used to work with made fun of he small town I was born in, every chance he got. He was born in Cincinnati, and though anyone born in a small town was stupid. One day he asked, "How far back in them woods did y'all come from"? I smiled and told him, "It was so far back in the woods that they had to pipe in sunshine.", and walked away. Three days later he runs up to me with a weird look on his face and said "What do you mean, pipe in sunlight?". I smiled and said, If it took three days for that to sink in, it proves that you're the idiot! ;-) Thieves get rich and saints get shot, and God don't answer prayers a lot. -- aioe.org is home to cowards and terrorists Add this line to your news proxy nfilter.dat file * drop Path:*aioe.org!not-for-mail to drop all aioe.org traffic. http://improve-usenet.org/index.html |
