RCA & Toshiba TV/DVD/VCR unit.
 

RCA M # 27F501DV, or Toshiba MW27F11C, similar sets, both TV/DVD/VCR.
Vertical IC blown LA78041, two 30 volt zeners shorted, 100 uf @ 35
volt cap reading low. Replace parts, & the vertical blows up at turn
on. Can't get at the board to get sensible measurements..wires are
sooo short. Am I missing something? Dani.

Confirm supply voltages are correct. Also check yoke leads, and feed-return
circuits from yoke for additional problems. BTW: a pain because of the
configuration but you will need to pull the board out again to do the
required testing and diagnosis.
