Philips monitor: fades out and zooms
Hallo!
I bought a used Philips 109B. When it is cold, after few seconds it zooms in and fades out, and the screen is black. What could it be? A condenser? Thank you E. - Italy |

Shouldn't be that difficult to locate with a can of freezer and a hair dryer. Does it definitely 'balloon' as it fades ? Often, a fading display on a CRT monitor, is down to nothing more than bad joints on the tube base heater pins, but in that case, it is just a gentle fade away to black, with no real alteration is picture size.
