Default how to find compatible replace for obsolete component ?

i need to replace a SN755518N VFD driver but none of the usuall sources
have it
mouser/arrow/avnet etc...

how do i find a compatible replacement ? or is there an old stock source

Try he

Good place to do business... I've been very satisfied with their merchandise and
prices.

Guess you mean SN75518N. Use Google. I found
http://www.ersatzteile-onlineshop.de...1099000-43.htm
a German site, in a first try. But there sure will be more.

thanks petrus,
i have found stocks of eh SN75518N and other compatible replacements in many
places from Germany to HK/china etc but the problem is these are huge Chip
sales warehouses that only seem to deal with chip brokers, the chip brokers
typically have a minimum order of $300-500 US dollars which is magnitudes
more than i could fill.

thanks again for help,
robb
