Receiver Issues-Need Help

I have a Sony DA333ES 32 bit digital receiver and have been having
sound issues lately. The unit was purchased new in March 2000.

Of late, sometimes (and sometimes everything is fine) I have no sound
at all or will only have sound when I turn the surround field off.
Occasionally it will "pop."

All of my components vcr, dvd, are connected to the receiver (I have
Bose speakers.)

Does anyone here have any idea as to what my problem is?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

By 'issues' i take it you man 'problems'! maybe that's US -speak.;-)

Sounds like you have a bad solder joint, maybe a faulty relay. since
you don't specify your repair experience you'd be best off to take
this to a technician, as these units aren't for the faint hearted and
you could risk screwing it up beyond repair if you attempt it without
the necessary experience etc.

Sounds regulated power-supply related. As another suggested, time to get it
to a shop.
