Replace battery in APC ES-725?
 

When the UPS turns itself on and off all of the sudden a few times then
shuts off and beeps, is this a sign that the battery needs to be replaced?

It is about 2 years old.

This is common for a failing battery(s). Make sure you replace the
battery(s) with the proper type.
