Help! Sanyo CP21SA1 TV showing white screen

My Sanyo CP21SA1 TV is showing only a white screen. I can hear the audio fine,
but can't see a picture and can't change the channels using the remote or
manually. What is happening!?

I have seen other people on forums on the Internet with a similar problem and
it seems relatively easy to fix, but in their case the TV switches off after
a few seconds. Mine doesn't, it just stays white until I switch it off. Does
that mean it is something else?

Can I fix this? I don't have much electronics experience, and have never
fixed any TV, so some basic instructions would be good.

I would be so grateful for any help anyone can offer.

Thanks in advance

I'd try both the AV inputs and the RF input. Does the OSD (on screen
display) work, ie do you see anything when muting the audio, or when
changing the colour, brightness, contrast, etc? If not, then I'd
suspect that the jungle IC (LA76818A) may have problems. Check its
supply pins (eg RGB VCC, pin 18).
