Default Sears/JVC Model 509-14376 Chassis 509-51380

Tv came in with a broken tuner cable input. After removing the tuner,
fixing the input plug,
re-installing the tuner, the tv had good picture but no sound. I can
trace the sound right up
to the MTS ic, but no ouput. In the tv Menu there is no adjustements
for the sound, unless
it's not showing up. This set was manufactured in 1996. Any suggestions?
