UPDATE: RCA TV (32" pic) F32676SB, ch CTC197CD
Hi,
I replaced the FBT even though all out of circuit tests on it revealed no defects. With a new FBT installed, the TV stays on. The HV is over 30KV (with a picture showing) and B+ is 141.5V (TV on). A label on the chassis (for this 32" picture tube type), says, "HV 29.5KV / 34.2KV". I assume this is a range of minimum to maximum? Please let me know if I am wrong. Thanks in advance, Brad On Tue, 18 Jul 2006 20:55:13 GMT, (Brad) wrote: Hi, I have a RCA (32" picture) TV model F32676SB, ch CTC197CD (mfg. 12/96) in my shop that shuts off right after turn on. I can hear HV at turn on. The regulated B+ is 151V in standby. Using a 250 ohm dummy load, the B+ voltage drops to 141.5V. I do not have a SM for this set. Is the standby voltage too high?
