Compaq TFT LCD monitor.
7020...M # CM 870: Turn it on, the "Compaq logo" appears just for a
moment, then black screen. Place a light onto the front of the screen, you can see all. Took it apart, all looked ok, soldered a few bad connections, back together...the same. I didn't get into the screen/lamps themselves, just the drive circuitry, & internal power supply. Is there common backlight problems on this unit? Thanks. |

Replacement tubes aren't very expensive, but do wire them to the inverter and test run before you take the effort to install them in the screen. |
