Try rec.crafts.metalworking instead. I'm not familiar with snowmobile

If it's a simple tube steel frame with a simple sprocket drive rear axle you'll want a horizontal shaft engine. Preferably a four stroke in the 5-9 hp range. Power transmission is done by way of a drive chain and an centrifical clutch off the main shaft of the engine. The clutch can be gotten at any small engine shop or cycle/scooter shop. |
