1998,UL Listed:436L,this unit is Panasonic.
The tv had intermittent power when tapping the side of it so I
resoldered the main relay,RL801 along with many other parts including
IC451-LA7838 I also a standard procedure replaced C820=10 Uf,63v &
C815=100 UF,25v which are near IC803=STR58041 and also replaced all the
electrolytic caps in the vertical section afterwards the vertical size
got smaller which is expected from my experience in replacing caps in
the vertical section but I usually turn the v.size pot to compensate
well this unit does not have one.
I entered the service mode by shorting TP8=FA1 to gnd and could not
find sub section D particularly D0=v.size all I found were sections:

I tried to vary several values in several of the available parameters
but no go,I am on slow dial up so I cannot access Hitachi's free
service manual download site:
so if someone could show me how to find/access sub section D or the
V.size adjusment.I used the June 1998 issue of Electronic Servicing &
Technology Magazine page 39 which this method according to them is used
on Panasonic chassis:GL9C I also used the following EEPROM service mode
access sites:
try to press "Action" & "Power" at the same time and hold them in for
10 seconds. This should reload the ROM data from the main micro back to
the EEPROM like a fresh install.
