Default proview model 986m 19" monitor help!!!!


monitor is only 3 yrs old ,it just went crazy with the stanby flicking
on-off about 6 times then nothing.now when i connect electric nothing
happens no power no led nothing just can hear a ticking coming from
inside the back.
can anyone help with this ,bear in mind im a newbie!
seems a shame to sling it!

Mine had same symptoms. Multiple failures in PS diagnosed. Cost $95 to
repair 1 year ago. Still works fine.

If it's ticking then a semiconductor in either the output section of the
power supply or the horizontal scan circuit is shorted, you'll have to
test the likely suspects and track down the short then replace the bad part.

A TD772 repair kit may solve this problem.
