Looking for a less than 6 watt tube amp for mic

Hello, I am looking for or design or information of a small tube amp,
maybe 1-5 watts, maybe 3 tube, amp, for a harmonica mic input. Was also
curious if anybody knew of modifying a old tube powered phono preamp to
put out any substantial volume. I have a freind who has been looking
for such an amp for some time now, and have a hard time believing that
no such thing exists. Somebody that reads this might say "I have the
perfect amp for that" or know where to find information on such an amp,
or some ideas on the subject. Thanks, Josh

Hey Josh. There's a ton of info out there on google about tube amps. There
are several 4 1/2 watt amps.
You can search for 'homebrew' amps unless you want to copy a Marshall or
Fender or others. Their schematics are available on net too.
Try https://schematicheavencom.secure.powweb.com/ for professional amp
schems.

Also post to alt.guitar.amps they are very helpful there too!

http://p210.ezboard.com/fhoffmanamplifiersfrm3 is another great board to ask
for help.
You can find component layouts and chassis dimensions and more.

I built a 6 watt Champ clone from scratch with help I found on the net. It
was easy and fun.
