Your question is extremely vague. It is something like, "My car will not start. I changed the main starter fuse...". There is too much involved for any reasonable explanation. Start by verifying the voltage outputs of the power supply, and its distribution through the set, to the vital areas to make it start up. Then verify the performance of the scan generator, the HV circuits, and then scan circuits. This is only the basic start. Servicing TV sets is a specialized job requiring experience, the proper tools, training, and service information. You would be best off having an estimate done for your set. If the set is a low cost one, consideration of replacement may be the best decision. There are serious safety issues when servicing TV sets. -- JANA _____ "phil" wrote in message ... went dead and now no power, fuse o.k. any clues which components ?? |

"phil" wrote in message ... went dead and now no power, fuse o.k. any clues which components ?? I repaired a digitor G5 something recently rescued fron the kerbside. It had a few dry soldered joints which brought it back to life. Have a really close look at the soldering on the cctboard and resolder anything that looks dodgy. It may just work. Also just fixed a discarded 68cm LG with one bad joint at the power connector to the mainboard. It's a shame to see these going to the tip. Russell |
