Default JVC VCR- Tape is immediatley ejected. HR-S7600U

Need help.

After watching a movie. Tape got stuck and would not eject. Unit
displayed "auto" and would not turn on.

Opened unit, removed tape. Now, (a different) tape goes in, it looks like
the unit is starting but then the tape is ejected after a few seconds and
the unit disply "Auto". The power switch does not turn unit on. after a
few minutes the "auto" also disapears, and only a few dashes show in
display.

Any guidance?
