The U.S. Declaration of Independence reads,

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that
among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

I was just watching Fox, showing a Texas School Textbook Committee
approving teaching that the Declaration reads "...all _people_ are
created equal..." rather than "...all _men_ are created equal..."
