We have let political correctness stop our enforcing consequences
for bad behavior... we will pay dearly for this stupidity.

I might even support the building of the Mosque but for a few sticking
points...
1 - there has not been any formal statement on the part of the Mosque
decrying the attacks of 9/11.
2 - there has not been any indication of where the $1 million is coming
from. If it is anything to do with radical Islam, nothing doing.

I know several Muslims and believe them to be good people. Some are more to
themselves than others and I can respect that as it is similar to Orthodox
Jews in our area. Conservatism does tend to keep a group to themselves.
There is a need though for the good people to distance themselves from
radicalism.

Building a huge Mosque at or near ground zero is, at the very least,
bad taste.

The more I see of these things, through all levels of government, the
more I wonder if we have, indeed, been attacked again except, this
time, with a new, and as of yet unidentified, biochemical weapon that
inflicts on victims a serious case of STUPID.

A biochemical weapon named Obama :-(

"What would happen to [Obama's] vanity if he didn’t have us to
throw alms to? What would become of his strength if he didn’t have
weaker people to dominate? What would he do with himself if he
didn’t keep us around as dependents? It’s quite alright, really,
I’m not criticizing him, it’s just a law of human nature."

It's New York, what did you expect.

Just like Hilter, The Muslims will talk with the Democrats, then wipe
them out when they aren’t looking.

Don't know it to be true but I saw a person holding a sign at the landmark
status meeting yesterday. It stated that "Islam builds Mosques at the sites
of their conquests and victories". I would hope that someone in the know
might comment on this.

Is it true that "Islam builds Mosques at the sites of their conquests
and victories"? Absolutely true. The entire thing is intended to be a
total slap in the face for all free Americans. So far the socialists
in the government seem to be supporting them fully, too.

Damn it, it is absolutely time to do a FULL HOUSE CLEANING of the
federal government, and any state/local governments who have forgotten
that this is America. That includes the Poopsident, Mr. Obama.

The lame-stream press is part of the problem. Used to be that the

And part of the reason for that is that journalism as we once knew it (noble
and independent) has for one reason or another gotten terribly lazy. They
are happy to accept the 'official statements' of the corporations and
politicos just to parrot them back to us without any checking... Hey, real
fact checking takes resources and money.

Came across this one yesterday from Newt Gingrich.
Much as I believe in religious tolerance, I had no familiarity with the
historical meaning of the 'Cordoba Project'. This commentary pretty much
lays it all out. Perhaps we aught to run Newt for President.
http://www.newt.org/newt-direct/newt...ar-ground-zero

btw- the Imam of the proposed Mosque owns two apartment buildings in Newark
NJ and is purported to be a slum lord. I heard unsubstantiated claims that
government money had been loaned for improvements not made on those
buildings.

Unfortunately Newt overstates the case and runs a serious risk of
discrediting it with unnecessary inflammation.

Hehe.

Burning a copy of the Qu'ran is a stupid and intentional act of
inflammation for the purpose of inflaming.

In Newt's case one imagines he's trying to make an argument and
unnecessary inflammation does not serve the art of persuasion.

Frankly, I'm a bit surprised at his 'logic'. For one, since when did
we gauge our laws and standard of behavior by Saudi Arabia? And, given
that our 'policy' is explicitly based on radical Islam being a group
of fanatics who have corrupted Islam for their own nefarious purposes,
he runs the risk of declaring Islam owned, defined, and directed by
the Saudi government since he implies the issue is a tit for tat
'negotiation' of a church or synagogue 'there' vs 'one of their'
mosques 'here'.

There are better arguments than implying this is about 'reforming'
Saudi Arabia.

He's also a bit foot loose and fancy free with the history of Cordoba,
to name but a few disappointments I have with it.

There are also those who would want our culture to be more compliant with
Sharia Law. So much for the great melting pot that America was supposed to
be. Any law that subjugates women (need I explain more?) is totally contrary
to all western sensibility. I don't endorse 'The gospel according to
testicules' in any culture/religion.

I understand your feeling but that's a different matter than the
inappropriateness of building a mosque, pardon me... 'Islamic Cultural
Center', near ground zero as I presume you're not for a 'Sharia
America' regardless of where one does it.

There is NO "testicular" law in the US... we're now a nation of

Oh come on. A lack of common sense has nothing to do with testosterone
as some of the dumbest people I've run into had plenty of 'balls'.

Oh come on, yourself. I was just opining on the " level" comment.

"Plenty of 'balls'" is unnecessary, the 9mm size will do :-)
