Good lord, I'm happy my customers don't demand pure ANSI documentation.

But that only applies to 300 m people.

The other 6.3 m are more likely to use IEC 60617.

I confess I prefer ANSI logic symbols though.

Do they use IEC symbols in Europe? I think our military tried that for a
while.

We try and avoid it (for logic). To my great dismay my copy of the TI TTL
Data Book for Design Engineers uses IEC symbols. As does the Philips CMOS
4000 book.

You won't thank him when the USA finally wakes up to International
Standards ! Actually it has already but the evidence is well hidden.

Frayed knot.

Do you think our stuff never goes offshore?

Hmm... according to your math there are about 48 times more people in
the US than in the rest of the world.

That's pretty stupid, so I don't think it's too far-fetched to think
that you're really stupid enough to think that we had no input to IEC
60617.

We _are_ a member, you know.

Well, there may yet be some hope for you. :-)
